31: Nintendo by numbers, PlayStation’s Vita Play ploy, and let’s talk Tearaway!

Hello and welcome to episode 31 of Heroes of Handheld: the internet’s favourite Handheld gaming podcast.

This week, Nintendo have had all sorts of news coverage – some of it good, some of it bad, and the Heroes tackle the statistics – looking at Nintendo’s possible plans for the future, as well as what this news could mean for you, the consumer. PlayStation are really pushing Vita digital game sales – with some exclusive offers from our American friends, thanks to the “Vita Play” promotion. It’s getting harder to commit piracy on your 3DS, and comics on the Vita aren’t as great as they could be.

We also have a mini review of King Oddball (with a written one to come in a few days) as well as Chris’ thoughts on both Tearaway and Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Chris won’t review many Vita games (that’s Colin’s territory!) but enjoyed Tearaway so much he wanted to share.

Finally, we wrap up with ideas for where Nintendo goes next: though we’d love to hear yours!
