Episode 25 is storming in, bringing with it a huge pile of news, a smaller pile of reviews, and a middley sized topic of the week.
In the news: Colin introduces a title the two heroes can bond over, Chris discusses how A Link Between Worlds was almost a very different game, and Nintendo continue their campaign to make it as tricky as possible to send pictures of your genitals to friends. There’s also wonderful news for Minecraft fans, a promotion for new 3DS owners, and discussion on the hit title ‘Flower’.
Chris reviews Bravery Default (very swiftly) Donkey Kong Country Returns 3DS (much more indepth), whilst Colin is talking Furmins (more to be said on this week’s Indiecast )
We talk about whether there will ever be a handheld Xbox, and if so how titles would adapt to it.
Here’s some links we promised!
If you register a new 3DS or 3DS XL between 27th November and 13th January, alongside a copy of one of 15 games, you can download a free version of the fantastic Super Mario 3D Land. Click here to read more on the official Nintendo site.
Flower is out on Vita in the UK 29th November. You can see an official video on the PlayStation site here.
Finally, here’s the numbers relating to N64 V 3DS sales. It’s definitely not fair to compare sales of the two in terms of official stats (for example, four people could play on one N64 rather than requiring four 3DS’), but makes for an interesting read, and shows the success of the 3DS in general.
